Through RTD's B Line, Westminster is now regionally connected through rail to the City and County of Denver, Denver International Airport, Aurora, Lakewood, Golden, Greenwood Village, Englewood, Littleton, and in the near future will be connected to Arvada, Wheat Ridge, and Lone Tree. For our city I'm committed to finding creative ways to complete the rest of the B Line through Westminster.
Furthermore, my plan is to expand beyond bus and rail. This means connecting our city through efficient, cost-effective multi-modal choices: shuttle service to the future re-development of Westminster’s downtown retail area; designated bike lanes and sidewalks in our communities - developing a safe connection from one point to another; and improving our roadways.
By the way, if you've never traveled to Denver on the B Line, please do! It's a fast, efficient way to get around. I had a meeting in Denver today. To avoid the traffic and the stress of not only driving downtown AND trying to find parking to make it to my meeting on time, I took the B Line. Taking the B Line I could focus on me and what I needed to get done in 11 minutes (the time it takes from Westminster to Denver). I could focus on making phone calls and responding to emails and not have to worry about safety. Now, thats excellent service! 😊 #LindseyForWesty
